Hoping someone can help out. I just upgraded to 10.2.5 and now Mail refuses to launch. All I get is a couple of bounces in the dock and then nothing. No error messages, nothing. I've tried:

repairing permissions
repairing the disk
removing the com.apple.mail.plist from ~/library/preferences
removing the mail folder from ~/library
reinstalling with pacifist.

Nothing works.

It worked before the update. Can I do anything outside of completely erasing and starting over??

Thanks,

Kevin

Have you tried creating a new user and see if Mail will run while logged in as that new user? Maybe some other preferences are heavily messed up for your regular user.

Otherwise maybe your Mail.app got corrupted during the update somehow. I'm running 10.2.5 as well and uploaded my Mail.app here if you want to give it a try.

Well, several other things were seriously hosed. I found that iChat showed the same behavior, as did Sherlock. I figured I might as well cut my losses and reinstall.

Weird thing is, after the reinstall, the 10.2.5 Combo updater freaks out in SW Update. I'm D/L'ing the .dmg from Apple now. Hope I have better success w/ it.

Thanks for the help.

Kevin
