I have learned to set a few Safari bookmarksin the title bar or the bookmarks bar; or I must open a window called SHOW ALL BOOKMARKS
I'm used to Internet Explorer being able to pull down the entire list of bookmarks and bookmark folders; opening each one if I pause on the icon with mouse button held down.
May I set Safari to behave similarly?
I'm new to OS X, but I am used to more easily editing bookmarks than I've been able to learn in Safari.
P>S> I tried to import my old bookmarks, and lost many, and have little control of where the rest were put.
thanks for your input/help
mike

Safari's bookmark management seems like it is designed for people with a LOT of bookmarks. Any folders you create in the left pane of the bookmark manager (Show All Bookmarks) will not be visible in the bookmark menu. To make them visible, select the "Bookmarks Menu" item in the left pane (so that the contents of the menu are visible in the right pane), and drag the folders you want in to show up in the menu from the left pane into the right pane.
Just make sure you drag (instead of clicking to select) the items from the left pane, because unless the contents of the "Bookmarks Menu" item is visible in the right pane, you will not be able to drag items from the left pane over.
