Whenever I try to open the link at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/qtv/specialmusicevent/ about the show (the streaming 100k stuff) QuickTime opens up, start the stream and then starts to beachball (new OS X verb?).

Anyone?

I get the same thing as when we were trying to watch the stream live yesterday: QT window opens, negotiates stream for a second, then gives error '400: Bad Request'

I couldn't watch the stream too, so I caught a shorter snip of it over at News.com

It was streamed over Windows Media Player for OS X

If you have the 3ivx plugin installed then it will cause Quicktime to crash on any MPEG4 stream. Search for '3ivx' on your computer and if you find it in your QT Plugins folder then either move it or trash it and you should be fine.

If thats not the case, I have no idea, sorry.

Good to know. Just another reason to use ffmpeg.
