Ok, _probably_ should go in the Software group, but ironically I think the answer is more likely to come from the people here??

This new ability of iTunes 4 to share music... is there something on the Linux or Solaris side (what I have at work) that can connect to my Mac at home?

I tried to connect via Linux Mozilla to my port 3689 (I think it was), but got nothing...(XMMS was already open on Linux)

Or am I misunderstanding what this is all about?

Thanks,
Mike

I think Apple made up their own system for it (daap)and at the moment it only works between iTunes, i know a few people are looking into it though and trying to reverse engineer it to work with other clients on other platforms

revs
I free'd my mind... now it won't come back.
