Hey, I was to send alot of pictures to my uncle using my Postfix server, but then I got this error.

The outgoing mail server "mydns.com" failed to deliver this message. Error: message to large

I have been on Google, and <u>I</u> found nothing. Do you know how to raise the limit ?

The older versions of postfix never had a message size limit by default. Did you enable one or does postfix 2.x enable some kind of arbitrary limit by default? Could it by your relay host that has a limitation, somewhere further down the line?

I have Postfix installed through Fink (1.1.12-1), so I don't have version 2. I don't have a relay either. Only edited the most basic in main.cf, not edited nothing that seems like a limit size thing.

add this line to the end of your main.cf file...

message_size_limit = 20480000

(obviously you can change the value to whatever you require; i think without it postfix defaults to around 8MB or something)
