I dunno if anyone have seen this problem... it seems the default page size in the page setup of my G3 with Mac OS X 10.1.5 always at US letter. Given I don't live in US I want the default to be A4 instead.

Whenever I start a new application I have to go the page setup of that application to select A4 instead to US letter in order to get the right paper. If I quit that application and restart again I have to reselect the paper size once again. Does anyone know how I can change, so that the system default goes to A4 for page setup for all application?

Open up the app called Print Center, from Applications:Utilities: and look in its preferences. In 10.2 they include what you're looking for, but I can't remember which version introduced it.

Not very intuitive, although perfectly consistent. Should be accessible thru System Preferences, too, IMHO.

No, no preference at all in the Print Centre, and I cannot see any options available in the Systems Preferences.

To get default A4, use the utility "Paper sizes".
It can be found THERE

BTW, I visited Bath once when I had a short holiday in UK. It was a quiet yet a very nice city! The roman bath is definitely worth the visit!!

Now given the page size problem have resolved, I have a follow-up question:
Is there a way to change so that in the page set-up dialog box the page dimension is shown in metric scale (e.g. in centimetres), instead of in imperial scale (in inches)??
