i did fsck -y in singel user mode
i started up from the cd and used disk repair.
i set a new root password but when i wanna login with the root, then it doesn't work.
i tried to reinstall osx over my existing but i got the error message, a newer system is installed.

how can i use my computer today i need to deliver a job.

somebody any hints???

ok i could login with root. the problem was that on the installer cd they have american keyboard layout so yz is different on a german one that's why i couldn't login as root.

well but i would like to know what could cause this kinda problem???

i don't wanna have that again.

How do you change the root password? I can't even login to one of my systems (I have another system on another disk). Is this a login to get to to boot or logining in on terminal?
