is there anyway to remove unneeded items from the software update?

i have everything installed, except 1.3 ipod software. i have a new ipod, so therefore no need for 1.3. i noticed that there is no remove button or anything, or am i missing something? it says install, i do not want to install the software.

everytime i try close software update it tells me that there is something uninstalled, do i want to close. kinda annoying, obviously not the end of the world, but just wondering.

thanks

Select the item and choose "make inactive" from the update menu.
The server made a boo boo. (403)
