Hi
I wish to know if their is a way of transferring Java Application and Symbian Applications from Mac OS X, to a Nokia 3650?
I have search high and low, and Nokia only has a PC Suite applications that does this but their is no Macintosh version.
I was not able to find any UNIX/Linux OSS tools either.
It must work via bluetooth or Infrared abilities.

Is it not possible to just transfer it using the Bluetooth File Transfer utility?
I have the Nokia 3650 as well, but I have not really been looking for applications for it (too busy with finals, etc). I'd be interesting in hearing if you succeed in installing some cool new apps.

I had similair problems in that i couldn't find an application to upload/download file types to my Nokia 3650 ie. via IrDA etc. After much deliberation, i bought myself a cheap usb bluetooth adapter for my powerbook, and it worked fine. However, there's still compatibility issues with iSync, althogh this should be fixed soon.
Now the only problem is how to view those video images on a mac (get the latest update from nokia: it now includes sound).

Yes Bluetooth File Transfer Utility will work. Set up your bluetooth device pairing then launch Bluetooth File Transfer and send the file to the 3650. For Java apps I just sent the .jar file over.

Yep go to the Bluetooth Menu (if you have it enabled) and choose send file... select the .sis or .jar file in question and open the file when you receive it on your phone - the installer will automatically launch.

I have a SonyEricsson P800 - I use BT File transfer to move .SIS (symbian apps) to my phone.
Tip - set Bluetooth File Exchange as the default app for .sis types - - then double-clicking a symbian app will send it to your phone.
