I have a architect that is willing to email his drawings of a construction project he is doing for me, what do I need to do to read them on my 10x mac, would I be able to manipulate drawings in another CAD program like MacDraw?

Is this an AutoCAD file? As far as I know the native .dwg format is a pain to import in any other CAD program, but if you have him export to .dxf you should be able to open it in a Mac CAD program like CADintosh.

ps:
I don't think MacDraw was a CAD program.
