It really annoys me that, in order to get to most of the IPA symbols (which are all in Unicode) I have to open up the character palate an manually select them. It helps that there's the "IPA Extensions" block, but it's still a pain in the ass if you have to use IPA extensively (like, say, when you're writing a linguistics paper), and, of course, not all of the IPA symbols are in the IPA Extensions block and I can't find a thorn at all. Does anyone know if there's a keyboard layout out there that gives you easy access to IPA? A font that actually has all the symbols in it would be nice too. I can only see most of them with the fonts I have.
