Hi,
I have an iMac DV 400 running 10.2.6. I try to do IP Printing to an HP Jet Direct attached to an HP 2100, and it looks like it is trying to print postscript. Even if it one page with one word on it, it prints 3 or 4 pages, and the first page starts off with &Adobe... etc.

Any Ideas?

that is a common problem. You have to select "ASCII" mode and not "BINARY" from the application u are printing from. It looks like you are printing from Adobe Apps like Photoshop, Illustrator etc. I know photoshop, indesign etc can print fine if u choose "ASCII" mode from the print dialogue. But Illustrator has a whole different process. Let me know what softwares you are trying to print from

Thanks for the tip, addicool, I am usually just trying to print as a test from TextEdit (as a test), but I do want to print from FileMaker, Office, Photoshop, and Illustrator if I can. I will try this on Monday...Thanks again.

although textedit, word etc i.e. apps other than adobe work fine without changing any settings. Also I doubt textedit or works has a "Binary" or "Ascii" setting. But if it does not work, let me know the jetdirect model you are using. Maybe something specific.
