Not sure when this happened. But all my classic applications have a gap in the middle of them, and it's really really frustrating!

Here's a pic:



I tried booting into OS 9 natively, to see if anything came up (perhaps in startup items). But nope, nothing.

Please, any ideas??

Usually this can be fixed by taking any action that will force the screen to redraw, like activating your screensave, or clicking the zoom box.

... or there is a transparent window in front of classic. Try closing OS X applications to find the one that put a transparent window over the screen.

I used to have that. There is some background app drawing it, if you kill it, it will go away.

Take a look at what shareware and non apple stuff you have installed. I forget what I removed to make it go away.

Yep, found it, thanks It was 'earphoria' (allows you to remotely control iTunes over rendezvous). You hit cmd-~ to make the floating window 'close' but in fact it only becomes transparent.

Thanks gusy, that was shitting me up the wall
