I just finished installing icewm via finkcommander and i tried to open X11 and it just bounced in the dock two times and then did nothing....it still wasnt running....there isnt an arrow under the icon in the dock, it doesnt appear in process manager either. i tried deleting and reinstalling, but it still doesnt work. i uninstalled icewm and that didnt help either.

please! i need my X11!

This happens to me periodically -- I have two different implementations of X, X11 and XonX or something, and neither will launch. Rebooting always fixes it for me... though that's probably not the answer you were looking for

lol i cant believe i didnt think of that....i am feeling stupid. yeah thanks rebooting worked.

Try to use "cocktail" program and use prebind or force prebind!
