I bought my iMac used and it has a lot of software on it. The problem is that the person I bought it from did not give me the original discs. Is there a way I can backup these programs to a dvd? I'd hate to lose all of these programs should something unfortunate happen.

Thanks!

Yeh just burn your applications folder onto a DVD. Most of them should work when you need to backup, you might find that some won't though eg. apps that rely on files placed elsewhere around the system.

If your software came installed on your imac, its highly likely you don't own the rights to use it.
