Printing purple due to printersharing?

TiBook connected to iMac Bondi Blue via Airport, using printersharing.
Printer connected with USB cable to iMac.

On TiBook iPhoto prints a photo.
The output gets a very purple overlay.

TiBook connected directly to the printer, teh same photo with the same settings prints perfectly.

Is this a known printersharing-problem?
