A REAL PLAYER FILE?

IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE.

SOMETIMES IT SEEMS AS IF THOUGH WHAT I'M TRYING TO DO IS SIMPLY DOWNLOAD EITHER A VIDEO OR MUSIC CLIP THAT SEEMS TO BE ABLE TO PLAY IN REALPLAYER OR JAVA OR WINDOWS BUT SOME STUPID "GRAPHIC CONVERTER" MESSAGE POPS UP AND SAYS THAT THE FILE IS UNKNOWN.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Select the file in the Finder, select the menu command File->Get Info. In the Get Info panel open the Open With pane, and chose Real Player as program to open the file with. Then apply to all files of this type.
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

hey, go open an image in GC, then export it / save it, now open the format menu.... notice it goes from the top of the screen to the bottem with more to come? There are a LOT of formats GC can handle. One of them might use the .rm extention, or GC might have just claimed it since it did not seem to be 'assinged' to real player, (do what the last person said to do that)

Its just a matter of GC being able to handle so many files, thus having specifications, creator / file type codes, and extentions overlapping in weird ways

Who do people feel the need to trail their sentences in the topic?
