I have a quick question. I am kind of new at this, but I was wondering what is the best program to you for sharing files? TIA

I have used lImewire with some success. I then decided that file sharing was too heavy on my upload bandwith and left that world. I also used edonkey2000 wich was fun but had somme problems finding servers.

Depends what your looking to 'share'. This isn't really the place to discuss illegal trading of files. But since we talking about trading legal/non-copyright files....
Carracho ( www.carracho.com)
Acquisition (xlife.org)
BitTorrent
are all decent file sharing applications, and fairly easy to use once you understand how to.
PM me if you have any questions.
* This thread should be in the software forum really.

Not really. Theres a program called Neo which I believe has access to some of kazaas network but really its not even worth trying. Your much better of sticking with one of the programs mentioned above.

If you can get into a hub Direct Connect works well for me. Limewire, used to work for me, but now its useless. Neo pings thousands of IP addresses searching for any with open kazaa ports and then indexes all of their shared files for you, so it won't work until you let it search (a few hours) for some IP's and put its foot in the door. After that just update the hosts window to see who's online at the moment, search (very fast since a list of all of the users files is saved on your computer) and download. That said I have only d/l maybe 5 files using it but I haven't had it that long.

Acquisition is probably the best from my experience. The interface is very well done, and you can manage to find most popular files.. It's also got great features like iTunes integration, where a song that is downloaded is automatically added to your itunes library or specified playlist.
