Hi, concerning the icons on the left side of the Status Bar in Finder windows:

1) If the "grouped folders" icon means the folder is sorted by name/kind/date, etc., then why do I still not see it after I arrange a folder?

2) Are there any icons other than "grouped folders", "pen with slash", Trash Can, and a CD/DVD?

The "grouped folders" means that you've set it to auto-sort by something, not that you've just sorted it.

There's also a 3x3 grid for when "snap to grid" is on by itself.

Not that i have anything to say about the matter, but what are you talking about? What buttons?

If you open any finder window and select "Snap to Grid" or "Keep Arranged By:" under Show View Options in the View menu, you will see these icons appear on the left side of the Status Bar in the given window.
