DVD player causes system to be unstable

	I was at school today watching the Beavis and Butthead DVD on my PowerBook G4/400... after exiting the dvd player.app and opening other programs they all started to unexpectidly quit. I tried it again when I got home, put the dvd in, played it for a little while, and sure enough apps were starting to quit after using them a couple of minutes. Is this happening to anyone else? Everything is fine if I simply restart after watching the DVD, although inconvient.
