I have just recently come across a rather odd problem with an Emac that I have. Whenever someone would try to shut down the computer, or press one of the buttons on the keyboard that controls the brightness, volume, or eject features the Finder will quite and then be relaunched again. As of right now the only way to restart the computer is to do a hard reset (with the button manually that is). I'd appreciate any opinons as to what you think the problem could be and a possible solution to the problem besides doing a clean install. Thanks.
Because the people who are crazy enough to think
they can change the world, are the ones who do.

No need to reinstall just delete your preferences, then it will only feel like you reinstalled. Basically go into yoru ~/Library/Preferences folder and delete com.apple.Finder and anything that starts with that. If the problem still exits than you gotta delete more com.apple prefs. The exact one depend on how many details you can give about the problem.
