Hi there,

Mac OS X 10.2.6

Really strange I delete Items from the trash and the space shown in the Finder window is less than when I had not deleted the Trash..... What can this be?

A Bug?
A Virus?
A F****ed up computer?

Uhmmmm anybody else ever noticed this??

Thanks

Maybe you have a corrupted directory. Time to run DiskWarrior.

Yep, I've noticed the same thing as aderium. I've also noticed that some of the space, but not all, is added back after a restart. I will try DiskWarrior, but any other suggestions in the meantime? Thanks.

It really sounds like directory corruption, and DiskWarrior is really the best tool to solve that problem. You can try Disk Utility and the CLI fsck, and they might help, but i'd still run DiskWarrior on it even if those tools report no problems.

Disk Utility seems to have done the trick, although I've only emptied my Trash once since I ran Disk Utility. aderium, how's your progress?

Well Disk Utility did it on one machine and I have not got a chance to get my hands on Disk warrior yet. I have Norto system ver 2 but it will not work with the duals when u restart.. it only has a 9 o. s. on it.... what a stupid move.

Did u try Disk Warrior?

Same here, haven't gotten my hands on DiskWarrior. It's something I'd really like to get, though.
