Ok so I decide to change the resolution of the monitor in the sys prefs and up tp 1600 (my show modes reccomended was turned on!!) and now I get a blck screen I tried restarting and nothing happens!!!

Any suggestions??

I tried even to zap the pram Just in case!

Ok I just talked to apple and they whant me to reinstall the operating system from the archive reinstall... uhmmm My question.

Is there somewhere stored in the preferences of the system, the monitor resolution to start up and if there is is it possible to trash it?

Common geeks I need a hand....

Try deleting the file /Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver.plist
