Hey I was just reading a post on the software forum that mentioned how in FCP4 checks your Mac's processor speed and then adjusts playback quality to work in real time.
I was just thinking is it just me or would this make perfect sense to put into panther or some later OS update?
I mean, think about it, on a sub 500Mhz G3, you could have it by default cut out the genie effect, and dock bouncing and stuff, so as to save CPU power, for laptops you could have it cut out certain eye candy things when the machine is unplugged...
Anybody else think this would be pretty cool?
