Hey guys,

Im a real neat freak and don't like apps lying around I don't use. So im wondering, if I installed Jaguar with no apps. And burnt Safari onto a disk so I can download Pacifist etc.

Then could I use Pacifist to get apps like iChat and download iTunes etc.

Is this possible?

NOT A DIRECT ANSWER BUT...

I'm not sure Apple iApp's put so much mess around, or if they do it's easy to find that mess...
So why don"t you just erase the apps you don't want ?

it's really easy to delete them, all the "bad" stuff is in your home folder

wondering: if you create a new user after you get rid of the apps, you shouldn't get any of the bad files... (they get installed when you launch them)

Agreed. Just delete the apps, and then search for remaining files in your home folder and delete them as well.

Make sure you deselect "Additional Applications" and they won't even be installed in the first place...
