I started a thread on this in the software forum, but it appears the problem is system-wide. Here's the email from a friend describing the problem:
"I don't think it's a problem just with Office/Word: *everything* on his computer screen now comes up tiny, and the items in each window _stay_ tiny (unless you specifically request 120% or 130% magnification) even when you drag the window out across the screen. When I boot up the New York Times page on my computer, for instance, the text + adverts fills the whole window, left to right, even if I expand the window to full screen; when I boot up the same page (doesn't matter which browser) on Eric's computer, the full NYT page takes up about 2/3 of the screen width. If I drag his browser window out to the full screen, I just get more blank space for the right 1/3 of the NYT window. His OS X Mail window, at 100% & the same font, has smaller-looking type than mine."
Any ideas on what my friend needs to do?
Cheers
Scott
