Will a USB to parallel adapter allow me to use my old LW Select 360 with 10.2.X or am I basically just stuck buying one of those damned $120 serial network adapters?

Any guidance would be appreciated?

One other option, if you have a Mac with LocalTalk and ethernet ports, is to use LocalTalk Bridge on that Mac, and let it do the job.

Even the oldest, slowest Mac with ethernet should do the job. We used to have a 6100 here doing that for an old LWIINTX, which worked grandly... but an old 68k Mac would have been fine, too!

I use an ATEN USB->parallel adapter with my old HP Laserjet 5MP. No major problems, though it should be noted that this is largely a one-way connection -- you don't get feedback from the printer on paper outs, etc.
