Are there any apps, applescripts, etc. that can have the Trash empty automatically on a schedule? (Is that even possible?)

Thanks!,

Just do it on cron. Something like

Code:
#!/bin/sh osascript << EOF tell application "Finder" empty trash end tell EOF
Then run that script via cron however often you like.

What would be much more useful, would be if you could have it delete trashed files that have been in the trash for more than a user-specified time period.

Eg, Delete anything that was trashed more than a week ago.
