This is probably in the wrong forum, but there's a lot of traffic here and some smart joes, so I thought I'd post here.
A while back, I set up sharepoints on my Mac to allow my wife's XP machine to access my video files (movies and tv shows). A few days ago I had to do an archive an archive and install on my G4, and now my wife's machine won't access my Mac. It sees it in the "workgroup" but when it prompts me for a login and password, it doesn't accept it. All appropriate file sharing thingies are checked and turned on. The XP box can ping the Mac just fine, and I can access it from my ibook with no trouble..
I'm wondering if what I need to do is uninstall sharepoints and then reinstall? The deal is that the media files are stored on external drives, and so logging in normally to my home dir from the XP box (which I can't do anyway) doesn't get me access to the files.
Any help? I'm pretty unfamiliar with XP.
