I have a G4 Powerbook running 10.2.5 and all of a sudden my energy saver preferences are all greyed out and the optimize energy settings are set to Presentations and under details everthing is greyed out for the sleep options so I can no longer adjust anything. Also if I hit show all it locks up my system preferences and I have to force quit. What happened??? Is there a way to fix this? Thanks for any input...

Is the lock in the lower left corner locked? When I lock mine, everything becomes greyed out. This doesn't explain why Sys Prefs lock up on you though... have you tried restarting?

the lock is unlocked, and when I tried to lock it nothing happens... I also did restart and again no change, very weird...
