I chose an OS9 folder as my startup option (from 10.2.6 preferences). something must be wrong with the folder as I get the folder and question mark when I turn the machine on.

Can someone tell me how to force the machine to boot into the OSX startup folder? I am running one 30gb drive with no partitions and one OS9 and one OSX system folder. I am stuck and in a loop and need help!

If you want to force it into X, just press 'X' at startup.

I tried holding down the "x" key and am still stuck. Anyone else have any thoughts? I have an OSX.2 cd but cannot find a way to access the preference files.
