What does that mean? What later version of the Mac operating system? Are there 10.3 only features? The article adds no further explanation.

Well, even between 10.2.x releases things got changed and fixed. For example, some Control Manager calls didn't work with HIView stuff at all. You could not call CreatePushButtonControl() with a NULL WindowRef on early 10.2.x versions, but somewhere along the line Apple fixed it. This was crucial to us with OpenOffice.org. Small things like this, that are important but didn't make the cut or weren't known initially are probably what C|Net is talking about.

But then again, it is C|Net and I wouldn't put it past them to be pulling this from you-know-where.
