under 10.2.3 i get no crashes, but under 10.2.6 i get 2-3 a day, is this an indication that my ram isnt quiet right? or is it just bugs in 10.2.6? thx.

Try repairing permissions. Either that, or tap your heels together and repeat "There's no place like home."

On my Powemac I found 10.2.3 to be the most stable release for me too for ages...

10.2.4 caused untold modem problems, 10.2.5 stability issues.

However I have found 10.2.6 to be the best yet...

Always been stable from 10.2 to 10.2.6, here.
You should repair your permissions and repair your disk with DW.

If you've tried everything else listed here, and still having problems, it could be indicative of a RAM problem. There was talk around the time of 10.2.6's release that it cracked down on RAM a little more than previous builds. If you want to be sure, pull out the extra chip and run it for a day.

10.2.6 sucks for me too. Never had a problem before with any other versions. PBG4 400.
