Somewhere along the line, an OS X update really jacked up my ability to upload through ftp. It use to work fine and my setup has not changed.
Anytime I try to upload a file, it will hang at the end or hang towards the end which results in a corrupt file.
I've tried CaptainFTP, Transmit, and FTPeel. All with the same results.
Anyeone with a solution?

Does it work okay on other systems? It could be a remote issue if this happens with every FTP client...

I haven't tried it with another system yet.
I tried FTP through the terminal and that stalled out on me as well.
I tried Fetch and that program froze up everytime I tried to upload a file.
I guess my next step is to try and ftp from another computer to make sure it's me. Although, like I mentioned, it was working fiine at some point.
Thanks for the tips.

Try changing your MTU size. consider it an experiment:
In Terminal type (or better, cut and paste):
/usr/bin/sudo /sbin/ifconfig en0 mtu 1400
(I assume you are on built-in Ethernet. If using airport, us "en1" in place of "en0". You will need to give your password.)
If that helps, you can go read this.

I have the same problem. I have an AirPort network with 2 computers. Each has its own card and one is connected to DSL. I don't get timeouts, but the uploaded files are randomly corrupt.
