Hmm... putting ricochet base station in every Apple Store would gain about 60 pockets of a few hundred feet radius spread around the country - mosting in shopping malls which is not where most people want to use their systems.
Ricochet originally achieved their coverage by placing a base station on every third or fourth streetlight in an area - that's the kind of density they need(ed) to cover an area.
Plus, for all your trouble, you get 128kbps connection with some horrible, horrible latency.
Ricochet has its uses, but IMHO wireless broadband internet access is not one of them.
