if apple joined with http://www.ricochet.com/
every apple store had a station thing. It would be a big hit and osx has it intagrated as well as in side the hardware. With rates of starting at 15 bucks up to the 45 a month.

Just go to an Apple Store and jump on the Airport network called "Apple Store"... that way it's free.

Hmm... putting ricochet base station in every Apple Store would gain about 60 pockets of a few hundred feet radius spread around the country - mosting in shopping malls which is not where most people want to use their systems.

Ricochet originally achieved their coverage by placing a base station on every third or fourth streetlight in an area - that's the kind of density they need(ed) to cover an area.

Plus, for all your trouble, you get 128kbps connection with some horrible, horrible latency.

Ricochet has its uses, but IMHO wireless broadband internet access is not one of them.
Gods don't kill people - people with Gods kill people.
