Not sure where to put this....

Whenever I FTP large files to or from my Mac, I get a time out error. It says:

"Timed out. Server closed connection. The server might be too busy."

Small files, say a couple of megs work fine, but it's the large files that fail. This also happens on my Linux box, the two are connected to the outside world through a Linksys firewall/router. Is it the router, or do the machines need to have a file size limit configured somehow?

Anyone have any ideas?

Since upgrading to 10.2.6 my FTP uploads are randomly corrupt. I've tried all sorts of programs including the Terminal, all are affected.
