Hello experts,
I am under OSX, trying to delete a file downloaded from the net. When I drag, or send it to the trash, I get an error message ??being used by another task right now?? ?try again when other tast is complete?
and I am not able to actually get rid of it. Any help?
P.S. there are no other applications running, after restart, same problem.

open the terminal.

cd to the folder with the undeletable file.

example: cd desktop (if the file is on your desktop)

then: rm file.name

if the file in called mac.dmg you would type:

rm mac.dmg

the file should now be gone.
