Last night I was running PlusOptimizer on my OS X partition and it reported that it could not do full defragmentation, since there are two anchored files called "snorosx".

It turns out they are very small files (4 KB). One is located in /private/var/root/Library/Preferences/, another in /Users/Shared/.

Any ideas what do they "do" and why are they anchored?

Thanks.
