The Apple Mac OS X Panther Preview page says:
Works Well with Windows
Panther connects to more corporate networks in Internet Connect, including those using RSA’s SecureID, so you may not need a separate VPN client.
To me that would mean that it would include Samba 3.x.x. Then a Mac OS X Server should be able to pretty much totally replace a Windows 2000 Server box. Actually, Samba 3.x.x under the hood wouldn't be quite sufficient. I would like to see the feature fully supported and implemented in the Workgroup Manager.

It would be nice to throw in a policy editor, as well. That way, I wouldn't have to go to a Windows box to set up a policy.
