Hey Everyone,
I am now using the Panther Preview, first off it is a really great OS and very speedy.

One thing I really need is the Identd server turned on. I could do this in Jaguar by using a program called 'IdentCtl' But that no longer works in Panther

Does anyone either using panther or not have any ideas?

Thanks
Chris

Just turn it on by editing /etc/inetd.conf, removing the comment from the auth line (which looks like this):

Code:
#auth stream tcp wait root /usr/libexec/identd identd -w -t120
and then restart inetd. Send a kill -HUP to the identd process.

All this has to be done using sudo, naturally.
