I installed OSX onto an Imac here at my office. Some files did not copy over. (THis machine belonged to the CEO's Assistant) It had some word documents and some folders that were on the desktop that did not copy over onto my firewire drive. The HD was Initialized the HD and used Carbon Copy Cloner to copy contents from my MAC Build machine.

I am trying to find a good program that can recover about 120 Megs of information. The files were word doc's, a couple calander's and other assorted files.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Anthony

Same thing happened to me here.

ProSofts' Data Rescue didn't work for me, you may have better luck.

There should be a folder on your Firewire backup of the drive called Desktop Folder. See if the files are there.

There is no way to retrieve them from an initialized drive, IMHO. Even *if* each byte was not zeroed out, the disk directory is gone so you don't know what's part of a file and what's a bunch of bits.
