This is a really weird one. I'm running 10.2.6 on a 15"SD and a 17" and when I take a picture of the screen (cmd-shift-3) the colors in the PDF created do NOT match what is actually displayed. Does anyone have a clue as to why this is, or how I can make it such that the picture is actually of what I've taken?

This sounds like ColorSync at work. What applications are you using for capturing and viewing?
For example, if you use PhotoShop for viewing, it might well apply color 'corrections' based on the 'Color Settings'.

It doesn't matter what program I use to view the snapshots. I can clean boot the system, take a snap shot, open it in Preview, and the colors are not the same. I used the 'Digital color meter' in my /Applications/Utilities directory to mouse over the colors... they are indeed different.

The image is taken with an imbedded colour profile, you can choose to disard this when you open it in photoshop.

And, say if I don't have PhotoShop? I guess I'm not sure why it plops in a color profile. But the biggest question is, why on the same computer would it look different even if there is a color profile? Isn't the idea that the color profile will make it look the same?
