Hey, right to the case. OO installs some required files in the Home directory I install OO from. And leaving the other users unable to use OO. This is really stupid. I've tried to copy over the folders I think belong to OO from my Home directory. But I really have many UNIX folders and files in there (with Fink and all that). What is the best way to make OO work on all users out of the box ? I am going to install OO on many macs on the school I work on, and even though I could write a script for putting folders inside every home folder, that seems stupid. And btw. what folders are needed by OO ??

I am guessing that you have several user accounts on a machine with OpenOffice. There is an excellent reference included with the OO download- Starting OpenOffice.org ReadMe.pdf. Page 16 of that provides some guidance for your question, plus the ReadMe has good background information.
