i'm wondering if there is a way to log into my osx system and use window maker as the default window manager.

i'm thinking not...

i have apple's x11 beta 3 installed, and have window maker running in that, it works fine, except when you click (or right click for that matter) on the desktop, instead of opening the window maker pop-up app menu, it switches the environments to the finder....

i would really like to be able to log in as "console" and then type startx and have windowmaker run, but i think it isn't possible with the setup i have....

only work around would be to install linux or do a darwin+xfree86 (from fink) only install on a partition and then play from there.... thoughts???? thanks!

What you want is Xfree without rootless mode. This is surelly possible (it's doable with Xdarwin) with apple's X11 but since I dont use it ...
