After downloading safari 1.0 using software update, the mail application wasnt able to retrieve the passwords for the mailbox from the keychain anymore.
If I granted forever access to the keychain, the key chain access utility showed two times the same path to the mail app, if I told it to show me which programs have access every time.
As a sidenote, I found a document on apple knowledge base telling about adding mail passwords to the key chain. Well, I have never adivsed the mail app to so, but if I now create a new test mailbox, the password is immediately added to the keychain.
I already asked a friend about this problem, but he couldnt confirm this to be happening on his box, although he admitted that there would be some glitches with the access of apps to the keys.
So I wonder why Mail isnt able to access the keys anymore, right after installing safari 1.0?? Did I get a bad version somehow (I thought they would be signing the packages?) from the apple server??
