After updating to 10.2.6, I now find the Shift, Command, Option and Control keys show up as large icons on the screen whenever I touch any of them.
What do I do to stop having them show up?
Thanks in advance.

it's a feature called sticky keys ... press 5 times the shift key one time after another, you shall be cured

Thanks so much for your 'stick keys' solution.
Never knew it existed - and now curious if it's an Apple feature and if so what purpose it serves.

It is a feature, and it's there for accessability. It can be hard for some people to hold down modifier keys (especially multiple modifier keys) and hit the appropriate key to make a certain function happen.

It can be disabled in the "Universal Access" System Preference.
