ah, the old defrag question. i would suggest you search both this forum and the software forum - a simple search using the word "defrag" will yield lots of threads discussing not only whether or not defragging is necessary under os x, but also what software tools are out there.
Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity...

Not to add to the defrag fray, but that linked article had absolutely no DATA in it. How about a benchmark for before and after?

I'm not saying I believe defragging has a significant effect on speed, hard drive life, or even is worth the time it takes to do it, but an argument without data is not going to convince anyone.
