One minute I was surfing, checking email, and working on a few clients sites; the next minute, I didn't have an internet connection. I went to see if I was still getting an IP address from the DHCP server by checking my network control panel, and realized... my configurations/locations were gone.

So I opened the control panel, and I find: no locations, NO PORTS; and if i go to "port configuration" to add back my ports, the airport card that I was using moments before wasn't even an option anymore (and I would be manually naming my own ports to configure the modem or ethernet.)

Anyone else ever experience this? Been digging around, but haven't found a preferences/plist file yet that appears to corrospond to said panel...

What do you know. It works.

Have a hunch going back with the OS X CD and repairing permissions may have done the trick as well..

And so concludes this one sided discussion.
