Problem copying files from iPod

I have been trying to copy a Video_TS folder from my iPod to my Mac. I have been able to copy all files in the folder except two. They are .VOB files about 1Gb each. I had no trouble copying other .VOB files of similar size in the same folder. Basically at the same point every time the finder just freezes and I have to restart. I have 20GB free space on my Mac and 13 GB spare on my iPod (new 30Gb model) so it is not a file size issue. Permissions all seem fine. Anyone got any ideas what the problem is? I have tried it on two Macs with the same problem. Am running Powerboog G4 17".
