I don't think this is violating NDA or anything since it doesn't say anything that isn't already known...
But Expose is set for Function Keys. If you have an IntelliMouse... download Microsoft IntelliPoint X drivers and just assign your forward and back buttons to "show all windows" and "show desktop". I set my scrollwheel click to tab so I can use it to cycle through apps.
It's much better than hot corners because they're easy to hit by accident if you're typing over a trackpad or randomly hit your mouse.

I wonder if this will work with Logitech's MX series?

Does the forward and back buttons just work in place of the F keys?

While setting the buttons to call Expose' functions seems cool, I've found that setting a button to CMD+TAB is problematic. Click and holding the button ends up cycling through the open apps so fast that it's pretty much a crap shoot to actually select the app you want. And single clicking ends up toggling back and forth between your last two used apps.

I've had wheel-button + roll up set to cmd-tab most of the time on my MS Intellimouse Optical, and it worked really nicely in OS X 10.1.x because of the way the switching worked then, but in 10.2.x it is a pain as it only goes between the two apps and holding the button doesn't make a difference.
On the other hand, having wheel-button + roll down set to cmd-~ works rather nicely. Hopefully with the new pop-up of open windows in Panther the cmd-tab will be good again. Otherwise this using them for Expose sounds quite good.
And hopefully they'll have made it so the options of "ignore trackpad when external mouse is present" and "ignore trackpad while typing" work when you have an MS mouse!

Yes but you have to assign them to an F key in the Microsoft mouse config app.

Cool. That's the first time I've seen anything like that.

Yes, I set mine to show all windows on button 6, its magic.
No drivers needed although you can use USB overdrive if you want more control.
